Play of the Day
Watch the Huskies’ top highlight from the win
Baylor’s DiJonai Carrington and a lot of folks on social media think she got fouled on this closely contested shot, but the refs didn’t see it that way and UConn is on to the Final Four. The controversial end to this game will be talked about every time these titans of women’s college basketball clash and this clip will get plenty of play in the years to come:

Paige Bueckers came to the rescue when the Huskies were in danger of letting the Bears take control of the game. During UConn’s 19-0 run that brought them from 10 points down to 9 points up, she scored 10 points and hit multiple clutch shots to keep their momentum going. When the final whistle blew, she had amassed 28 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals while playing all 40 minutes of the contest. She was 3-for-7 from deep and looked like the superstar she was hyped up to be entering the season. Earning an honorable mention for a strong performance of her own was Christyn Williams, who racked up 21 points and 7 rebounds while also logging every minute of the game. Bueckers and Williams combined for 49 of the Huskies’ 69 points and will need to keep up their points parade if UConn is to take home national title #12.
