It’s that time of year, folks, to put the regular season and all of its issues in the past and look forward to another year of UConn overachievement in the NCAA Tournament.
But first, Furman, a pesky Southern Conference team that was the six-seed in its conference tournament before winning three straight to punch its ticket to the dance. They have a well-coached team with solid size and shooting, and a stud leading scorer in freshman Alex Wilkins. Bob Richey’s squad also has two experienced big men who are their second- and third-leading scorers.
